Community Based Alternatives program is for persons who meet the medical requirements for nursing home care. This program performs structural changes to the patient’s home if approved by DADS or HMO. These changes make the home more accessible to the patient ex. Wheelchair ramps, ada spec. bathrooms and widened doors to name a few.

Not only does the State of Texas consider it to be more economical but also it allows the client to remain in their familiar surroundings.
