Legacy is very fortunate have a complete In-House Rehabilitation Department. We are able to offer any Rehab service you or your loved one may need. Not only do we have our own In-House Rehab Department but our therapists are some of he highest rated therapists in their fields who have a passion for the effect they are able to achieve in the patient’s home setting. Our belief is that having rehab performed in the home is much better for our patient because this home environment is here the patient feels most comfortable and where the therapeutic benefit is achieved in the real world setting. Our staff members are experts at analyzing movement and function to treat you effectively and efficiently. Our highly skilled and experienced physical and occupational therapists can help relieve symptoms, improve your health and physical abilities, and return you to your healthy lifestyle. We offer a hands-on approach in developing an individualized treatment plan that will get you back to your favorite sport, back on the job, or return quickly to an independent life.

Physical Therapy
The object of physical therapy is to return the patient’s post injury functionality to that or as close to that of his pre injury functionality.

Speech therapy

VitalStim Therapy
This is a safe and effective treatment for patients suffering with difficulty swallowing or dysphagia. It was developed in response to the 15 million Americans living with dysphagia today. VitalStim Therapy is a non-invasive, external electrical stimulation therapy cleared to market by the FDA in December 2002. The therapy uses specifically designed electrodes applied to the muscles of the throat to promote proper swallowing.

Occupational Therapy :: Neuro-IFRAH Therapy Program
Our in-house therapist obtained the highest rating in our area utilizing this specific type of PT which incorporates developing home programs for stroke patients. Neuro-IFRAH® treatment is highly effective individualized whole person assessment, treatment planning, treatment, and management that is intended to resolve identified impairments and restore function and make it functional for a return to independent living and the resumption/assumption of life roles.

Vestibular Program
This program is designed of maximize the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered from an injury involving the vestibular system and would focus on balance and strength.

Neuro Program
This program is specifically for patients who have suffered from a brain injury. This program was designed to maximize the recovery of functionality, range of motion and strength.

Parkinson’s Program
This is a program developed in conjunction with our speech, PT, OT therapy departments and local neurologists to offer patients suffering from Parkinson’s disease pre, intra and post implant monitoring and well as post implant therapy.

Alzheimer’s Program
This is a program developed in conjunction with a local psychiatrist to offer PT, OT and ST to Alzheimer’s patients to slow down the effects of functional loss in performing ADL’s and loss of strength.
